Katrina Survivor's Benefit Concert, August 5th 2006, raised an
estimated total of $90,000 in cash and donations! Items donated
included walkers, Ensure, paper towels, toilet paper, canned
foods, over-the-counter medicines, toiletries, a refrigerator,
children & adult books, etc.
Michelle Rowe & friend Nancy Buell drove the 14' truck filled with
supplies a total of 1500 miles to 3 different shelters over the
course of three days. They toured Bay Saint Louis, Pearlington
and the 9th Ward in New Orleans. "The need is still overwhelming
along the Gulf Coast," Michelle said. "People may have the money
to rebuild, but can't find the workers to get the job done. Most of
the people down there are still living in FEMA trailers.  We also
saw tents pitched where homes once stood."
A big THANK YOU and bear hug to everyone who worked hard to
make the Katrina Survivor's Benefit Concert a success!
